Dear mother of Donald and his wife Helen of Barrie, Etta, Bonnie-Jean and Tom of Bond Head, Bill and his wife Linda of Bradford, Nancy and her husband Bob Reid of Bracebridge. Dear grandmother of Allen and Lana Whiteside, Joe Whiteside, Craig and Darren Reid. Dear great grandmother of Jessica and Samantha Whiteside. Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St., Bradford. Service was held in the chapel on Friday, December 10, 1993 at 2 p.m. Interment Bond Head Cemetery. Description : Died at Toronto General Hospital. Had not been well for some time, but was hospitalized only six days before his death. Eldest son of the late Robinson and Polly Whiteside. Brother of Thomas and Franklin of Bradford. The brothers all lived together on the farm, located west of Bradford. Attended Middleton Public School and Bradford High School before becoming a farmer. Member of Bradford United Church. Funeral held from home, Rev. F.G. MacTavish officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers: Walter Palmer, Harry Williams, Alonzo Williams, Robert Wood, Lorenza Harvey, and George Young.

Beloved husband of Alberta, loving father of Bonnie, Doug, Sue, Donna, Craig, Melody, Jimmy and Sylvia. Special grandfather of Shawn, Nikki, Julie, Tanya, Steven, Elizabeth, Natasha, Lance, Candice and Amanda. Dear brother of Murray and the late Clayton and Harry. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at the McKelvey Funeral Home, 264 Burton Ave., Barrie on Friday. Service was on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Churchill. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. If so desired donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
