Goodfellow, Adam obituary

Description : Father of Mrs. E. Garrett, of Bradford. Brother of William, Mrs. M. Faris, and Mrs. James Faris, of Bradford or West Gwillimbury. Son of the late John Goodfellow, one of Bradford's first settlers. Married Elizabeth Rhoddy, of Toronto. Lived in Bond Head, and Bradford, before moving near Thornbury, forty years ago, where he died. Wife passed away in 1879, and is interred at Thornbury cemetery. Age: 75th year.

Flt.-Sgt. Harold Wilson Reported Missing After Air Bombing Operations

"Mr. and Mrs. Daniel wilson, of Bond head, have been notified by Ottawa that their second son, Flt.-Sgt. Harold (Chub) Wilson, is missing after air operations over enemy territory. The entire crew of his craft failed to return and as yet there is no information regarding their fate, although authorities assure the parents that information is being sought through the Red Cross regarding them."

Description : "Former resident of Barrie. Thompson C. Fisher, who celebrated his 91st birthday last Wednesday [September 4, 1944], died in Toronto on Sunday. He had resided in Toronto for five years. Born at Bond Head, Mr. Fisher was a graduate of Upper Canada College. For a time he engaged in farming at Thompsonville and Ivy and later became associate with the insurance business in Alliston and Barrie. Surviving are two sons, Dr. R.E. Fisher, Toronto, and Dr. C.M. Fisher, Chicago, Ill."
