Boyd Gang Bank Robbery - Grace Moriarty

Ledger-keeper at Bradford bank is Grace Moriarty, who was "compelled to lie on the dirty floor in my white dress." Getaway car crashed into truck in escaping.

Staff artist's sketch shows how the robbery was executed by men, who forced people to lie on floor and then looted tills. Constable is also depicted as he went upstairs for revolver and entered into gun duel with men who nearly hit him.

This fire hall was located on Barrie Street between John Street and Joseph Street (shown on a map of Bradford from 1900) where the current post office now sits.

"Bradford Flour Mill Samuel Lukes" is painted on the side of this building which was situated on Holland St. East at Morris Rd. This mill was built in 1904, and could mill 300 barrels a day at maximum capacity.
