Dear brother of the late Mrs. Ethel S. Wood. Friends where [sic] received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Clapperton and Worsley Streets, Barrie, on Sunday, April 19th, where funeral service was held on Monday April 20th at 1 p.m. Interment Sixth Line Cemetery, Innisville [sic]. Thursday in Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Ave. Muriel moved to Arizona in 1963 from her native Ontarion where she taught school. She worked for the state agency for 11 years, retiring in 1983. Survivors include her husband Don, a son Ted and 3 sisters. The family suggests contributions to Bephany Presbyterian Church, 7702 North 35th Ave., Phoenix.

Gerry Saint grew up in Bradford -- Gerry Saint, a lifelong resident of Bradford and chief building official for the past few years, died at York County Hospital Saturday evening. He was 59. Mr. Saint had been ill for some time. Services were to be held yesterday (Tuesday). Mr. Saint left behind his wife, Mary, and daughters Sharon, Jane (Mrs. Walter Grady), Nancy, and Margaret. The Saint family arrived in Bradford in 1871 from England. The family was in the construction business, a tradition Mr. Saint carried on, working for Spence Lumber for many years before he became a town building inspector. He was active in the United Church. The family requested donations be sent to York County Hospital Foundation.

Friends called at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St., Bradford. Service was held in the chapel Monday at 2:00 pm. Interment St. Paul's Cemetary [sic], Coulson's Hill. Donations to the cardiac unit at York County Hospital, Newmarket would be appreciated.
