Description : Well known and highly esteemed in the Bond Head district, where he spent most of his life, Mr. Elwell McKay passed away at his home at Dunkerron, on March 10, 1962, following a long illness.Mr. McKay was born in West Gwillimbury, the only son of the late Angus McKay and his wife Eliza Janet Bannerman, and he lived until 1945 on the farm on which he was born, the farm now owned by Mr. Harry Horlings. In 1945 he retired to Dunkerron.He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and in politics he was a staunch Liberal.Mr. McKay is survived by one sister, Mrs. Kenneth Holmes of Dunkerron.The funeral was held from the Lathangue-Kilkenny Funeral Home in Bradford and interment was in Bond Head Cemetery.
