After his marriage to his wife Lena (nee Paxton) of King Township in Aurora in 1949, he took over his father's farm on the 12th Line where he lived until his death.A member of the Roman Catholic Separate School Board in 1968, Mr. Moriarty was a candidate for that office in the last municipal election.His work in that capacity was testimony to his life-long dedication to children and community affairs. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.An avid curler, Mr. Moriarty was one of the organizers of the Bradford and District Curling Club.William Moriarty leaves his wife Lena, son Jim, daughters Theresa, Patricia, Noreen, Elizabeth, Monica and Carolyn, his parents Norbert and Noreen Moriarty, four sisters, and a brother.Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, and a funeral mass was held at Holy Martyrs of Japan Roman Catholic Church Monday, February 18. He was buried at Holy Martyrs Cemetery.
