Thompson home in Bond Head, which was at one time Jamison’s Boot and Shoe Shop and then later Thompson’s Butcher Shop.

This well preserved match safe, 9" long x 4 1/2" wide, with its Masonic symbols, was molded in Thomas Nelson's Foundry in Bond Head c. 1870. Marion McKibbon, his granddaughter, presently owns it.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Hughes are shown with some of the gifts they received last Saturday from their friends in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. More than 450 persons attended the party held in the Bond Head Community Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Hughes were stunned at the turnout of friends. The popular couple was presented with a dining room suite, pole lamp, painting, and a chandelier.

First building on right was used as storage for hardware store next door (by George Parker). Note square pad of cement in front of store. It was the inground scales mentioned in the story.
