At a Brownie meeting held Monday evening, four Brownie's few up to Guides. At the meeting, two of the troop's leaders retired and three knitted afgans were presented to the Canadian Cancer Society. Front row left, Mrs. Betty House accepted the afgans for the cancer society. Presenting the afgans were, Annette Cummings, Donnalee Lloyd, Ellen Masin, and Ellinor Schlarb. Back row left, retiring badge secretary Margaret Chantler, beside her is retiring troop leader Carol Simone, new leader Elizabeth Schlarb, Patti Bray and Peggy Robertson.

Mrs Gladys Kirkup (right) was one of two teachers honored last week at a retirement party at the Honorable Earl Rowe School. With Mrs. Kirkup is Mrs. Iva Bell, a former school teacher, who taught Mrs. Kirkup in a one-room school.
