Photograph of the home of Dr. Frederick Coney Stevenson at 136 Barrie Street, c. 1905. In the 1940s it was added to, the facade changed and turned into a nursing home. This picture was given to Lew Campbell by Ken Stevenson, Dr. Stevenson’s grandson. Lew Campbell and his family lived at 129 Barrie Street, across the street from this house . Dr. Stevenson can be seen in the photo (sitting on the lawn).

One of Campbell's strongest childhood memories was seeing Dr. Stevenson collapse while cutting his lawn in 1927. He was pronounced dead when Dr. Lewis H. Campbell arrived minutes later.

Late Mrs. (John) Stibbs, her daughter, Florence (Mrs. Geo. Fogel) and son, Norman. The late Walter Probert was the sign painter. The sign in the window offers "$50 reward for Robber", as stated by Mrs. Fogel in later years. S.S. McKenzie owned the storefront later. Walter Probert was the sign painter.

John Zampaloni's store was located at the corner of Colborne Street and Holland Street East.

Article from the May 31, 1906 - special edition of the Bradford Witness and South Simcoe News featuring local businesses and members of the community. This article provides a history of L.J. McConkey's Store, which provided groceries, teas, and seeds. L.J. McConkey was from Lefroy, and first worked at C. Goode's Grain Elevator before purchasing this store on January 1, 1906, from William Hockridge.

The article accompanying this photograph gives a quick history of the Bradford Flour Mill owned by Samuel Lukes. Lukes owned the mill since 1878, and improved the equipment within a few years to make it one of the best equipped in Ontario at the time.
