Born in County of Cavan, Ireland.
Came to Canada in 1846.
Married to Susan Fennell, daughter of the late Joseph Fennell, Esq., with whom he had a large family, five of which survive. The oldest son is the Reeve of West Gwillimbury.
His second wife was Maria Thompson, of Tecumseth, with whom he had a son and daughter, who still live at home with their mother and Miss Jennie Wood.
Recently his son, Joseph, and son-in-law, William Morton, also passed away.

Description : Born in West Gwillimbury on January 26, 1831, to Mr. & Mrs. John Faris.
Was one of ten children, and only four remain: Robert, James, and Mrs. Alex. Sutherland, of Tecumseth, and Mrs. James Bowles, of West Gwillimbury.
Married Susannah Goodfellow, daughter of the late John Goodfellow, in 1856, and they lived on Maple Farm, Scotch Settlement.
Father of six children, of whom five remain: John, Peter, Will (who just married B. Strong and occupies the homestead), Miss Kate, and Mrs. John Sinclair.
Had just moved to Bradford to retire.
Treasurer of West Gwillimbury.

Obituary for Thomas S. Graham

Description : Born in Brock, Ontario, in 1837, the oldest son of seven children.
Came to Bradford in 1854 as an apprentice for Thomas Wallace, harness-maker.
Went to America, but returned and partnered with Wilson Scott to buy out the shop of Mr. John Davidson, a partnership that lasted 49 years.
Married Anne Driffill on March 25, 1868.
Had seven children, four of whom are still living: Harvey, Charles, Victor, and Mrs. T.W.W. Evans.
In 1891, sold their business to Mr. E.P. Snow.
Was then appointed to the Clerkship of the Second Division Court, which he held until his death.
Was a member of the: Bench of Magistrates, High School Board, Public Library Board, and the Agricultural Society.
Was the Reeve of Bradford for nine years.
Died of pernicious anaemia.
Age: 66 years.
Interred in Mount Pleasant.

Description : Born in 1829 in Middleton to William Stoddart, who settled with his wife in Middleton in 1818.
In 1851, Wilson commenced clearing land to begin farming on a lot in Bradford.
Married Matilda Hastings in 1853.
Fathered five sons and two daughters.
Son Thomas died 12 years ago.
Wife died in 1894.
Survived by his children: W.W. Stoddart and Mrs. C.H. Wallace, Toronto; Frederick and Miss Maggie, at home; Bert (Burton), Bradford; and Beverly, West Gwillimbury.
Served on the Municipal Council, and on the High School Board.
Died at his residence, "Britania Farm", Bradford.
Age: 82nd year.
Interred in Mount Pleasant.

Driffill, Joseph H. obituary

Description : "Age: 64th year. Born in Bradford on December 12, 1838, as the second, but oldest living son of Thomas and Jane Driffill. His father, Thomas, had come to Bradford before it was a town, and was first married in 1830. His first wife died, and he remarried, and had eight children. Only four survive: Mrs. Jeffs, Bond Head; James Driffill, Toronto; Mrs. T.S. Graham, Bradford; Miss C.E. Driffill, Newmarket. Joseph was married in May 1869 to Margaret E. Clinkenbroomer, daughter of Joseph Clinkenbroomer, then of Bradford. They had four children, of whom Alfred and Edna survive. Arthur died in 1894 at age 24 (or in 1895 at age 25), and Louisa in 1898, at age 23. Joseph partnered with his brother James and ran a hardware store on the corner of Holland and Simcoe Street. Interred in Mount Pleasant cemetery."

Married to George Douglas, postmaster of Bradford, in 1844, and he died after 13 years of marriage (he was 41 years, 9 months at the time of his death). Mrs. Douglas and her daughter then ran the post office, until her only daughter's death in 1873 (of comsumption at 38 years of age).
Lived on John St.
Has a brother in Toronto, and one in Garnot, and a sister in the United States.
Interred at Mount Pleasant cemtery.

He taught at Cookstown, Fisher's Corners, and Bradford.
Was once Reeve of West Gwillimbury, and clerk of Bradford.
Leaves a widow and six grown children - three sons and three daughters. Age: 64 years, 8 months, 11 days.
Interred at Mount Pleasant cemetery.

Obituary for Thomas Hamer

Description : Born December 10, 1813, in Montgomeryshire, North Wales.
Emigrated to North America about 54 years ago, stopping in New York, Newmarket, and Bond Head, before moving to lot 8, concession 8 of West Gwillimbury, where he resided until his death.
Married Mary Ann Peregrine, of East Gwillimbury, in 1844, who died in 1866, leaving him with eight children, one of whom was two weeks old.
He remarried Mrs. Galloway, of East Gwillimbury, in 1867.
Remains were taken to the tomb in Newton Robinson.

Born in Mitchellstown, County Cork, Ireland, on September 13, 1804.
Came to Canada in 1836 with his parents.
After his first wife died, he moved to Holland Landing with his children and married Mrs. Scott, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Came to Bradford in 1846, and was a former Councillor and Justice of the Peace there.
He is survived by four sons and two daughters.
Interred at the Middleton Church burying grounds.
