Funeral services at the Jennett Chapel of the McClelland and Slessor Funeral Home, Barrie. Interment in Barrie Union Cemetery, Barrie.

Dubbed Founder's Day, the event brought together staff and support workers both past and present, and featured a talk from library specialist Stan Beacock...Present library staff decided to invent their own 'holiday' to celebrate 37 years of Public Library service, and 127 years of library service..."

Father of James and Donna, both of Bradford; Jana and her husband Paul Thompson of Lakefield; Judy and her husband Peter Harway of Dunchurch; Marianne Smith of Tottenham; and Mark of Toronto. Grandfather of Joshua, Amanda, Jacob and Caleb van Ry; Vaughan, Jamie and Christopher Thompson; Meaghan McClymont, Zachary and Hilary Jane Harway; and Scott Smith. Brother of Enny DeBest of Bradford and the late Casey and Gary. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Rested in the Logan Funeral Home, Parry Sound. Interment in Hillcrest Mausoleum and Fairholme Cemetery, Dunchurch in the spring. Doors will be closed at our current location as of Monday, May 2, 2011. Due dates on all materials will be extended and no fines will be applied during the closure. Doors will be open to the public at our new location, 425 Holland St. West, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. All items are to be returned to our new location.
