If it rains, as it did for the 2014 Carrotfest, it can be nothing short of disaster for the vendors and event organizers. That was one reason the Town of Bradford West Gwililmbury agreed to hold the opening ceremonies for Carrotfest on Friday night, endorsing an evening of live entertainment outdoors at the main stage, and encouraging downtown businesses to co-ordinate a Midnight Madness shopping event - although the street festival would still take place on Saturday. ..."

Description : At the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, in his 89th year. Resident of Barrie and formerly of Bradford. Husband of the late Helen Morris. Father of Maxine (Mrs. Dalton R. Slessor) of Trout Creek, Winfield and his wife Lucy of Brampton, Ada (Mrs. Walter Woodhouse) of Malton and Ester Sirett of Toronto. Grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services at the Jennett Chapel of the McClelland and Slessor Funeral Home, Barrie. Interment in Barrie Union Cemetery, Barrie.

"Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library is on the move! Saturday, April 30, 2011 will be the last day we are open to the public. Doors will be closed at our current location as of Monday, May 2, 2011. Due dates on all materials will be extended and no fines will be applied during the closure. Doors will be open to the public at our new location, 425 Holland St. West, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. All items are to be returned to our new location. As sad as we are to leave our current location we are excited about all the opportunities to come. We welcome you to join us for our Grand Opening Events happening throughout the month of June.
