We, the Gwillim group, a sub-committee of the Bradford West Gwillimbury Local History Association, are delighted to inform the community about our project to commemorate the Town's 150th Anniversary. We have commissioned a bronze sculpture of Elizabeth Posthuma Simcoe (nee Gwillim), to be placed in the Post Office Parkette on the corner of John and Barrie Streets (on the Yonge St. route). The sculptor is Brenda Wainman Goulet, who created the bronze sculptures of Dr. Bethune in Gravenhurst and the Tom Thomson in Huntsville."...

Elizabeth Gwillim Statue Prototype Front

This is the prototype of the Elizabeth Gwillim Statue that is now standing on the corner of John and Barrie Streets in Bradford. The statue and this miniature were sculpted by Brenda Wainman Goulet and the project was organized and funded by the Gwillim Group; a sub-committee of the Bradford West Gwillimbury Local History Association.

This early offering is at the pre publication price of $55 and will be in effect until the Book Launch, in early December from then on the price is $65, per copy. It will cost you $8 to have your copy mailed to you in Ontario.
