Bertha Langford of Bradford congratulates Ethel Breedon on the Dunkerron-area woman's 90th birthday Saturday during a special luncheon at Dunkerron United Church. Bertha had a pretty good idea how Ethel felt since she marked her 91st birthday the following day.

Bradford's Bertha Langford celebrated her 90th birthday last week with more than 200 family and friends in attendance. The energetic lady still loves to bowl. Happy birthday!

Mrs. W.G. Hounsome celebrated her 90th birthday on June 6. Over 60 people attended the birthday party. One of the guests was her great-great grandchild, along with 50 great-grandchildren. A special gift presented to Mrs. Hounsome was a plaque from Premier William Davis commemorating her birthday.

Schlarb, Gerand and Sylvia are pleased to announce the arrival of their daughter, Stephanie Sylvia (little sister for Ryan). Stephanie was born December 1, 1989, at 9:53 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. Happy grandparents are Mr. and Mr.s Alfred Baumgartner and Mr. Henry Schlarb and Elazabeth Schlarb. Many thanks to Dr. Barcza and the maternity staff at York County Hospital.

New Years baby for Bradford (birth)
Elisabeth Gomes, 28, of Bradford was the proud mother of the first baby born at York County Hosptial in 1992. Baby Amanda was born at 7:11 p.m. on January 1st, weighing in at 7 lbs 5 oz.
A first child for Elisabeth and husband Carlos, Amanda was 13 days early, but just in time to be number 1. She was presented with a silver cup by the Hospital, as part of their 70th anniversary celebrations.
York County Hospital had planned to present special commemorative cups to the first ten babies born on January 1st, but were foiled by the lack of a baby boom. Only two infants were born on New Years' Day.
The second was a baby girl, born at 8:56 p.m. to Allison Leve of Schomberg.

Phil and Elaine (nee Kennedy) lovingly announce the birth of their fourth child, Graham Thomas at 6:39 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11th, 1992, weighing in at 10 lbs! Another brother for Justin, Curtis and Devin. A 7th grandson for John and Mary Kennedy, of Allison, a 4th grandson for Don and Marlene Goddard, of Toronto. Special thanks one last time to Dr. Judy Kalyniuk and the maternity staff at York County Hospital, Newmarket.
