Description : Daughter to Mr and Mrs G.P. Prouse of Little Britain wed son of Mrs Atkinson of Bradford and the late George Atkinson at the Little Britain United Church by Rev. L.W. Scott. Miss Margaret Prouse was maid of honour and Miss Jean MacTavish was bridesmaid. Donald Gardner was the groomsman and Alan Prouse and Gordon James were ushers.
Article from the May 31, 1906 - special edition of the Bradford Witness and South Simcoe News featuring local businesses and members of the community. This article provides a history of the grain elevator business previously on the site of the current GO Train Station on Bridge Street. Farmers around town would bring in their grain to the elevators by wagon and sleighs in order to have their grains bought. The highest bidder would then direct the farmers to their specific grain mills to be processed. The building was demolished by the end of the Second World War.

"Firemen were called to The Village Inn about 10 a.m. on Sunday when fire was discovered in one of the bedrooms about two hours after the occupant of the room on the previous night had left the building. The mattress on the bed and the bedding, were burning when firemen entered and these were thrown from a window, thus ending the smoke in the building. It is supposed that a cigarette was the source of the fire."
