Description : Evelyn Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar M. Jackson of Lefroy, to Carl Stanley Cairns of Richmond Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. Cairns of Bradford. The wedding took place in Lefroy United Church. Rev. Fred Jackson officiated. The bride had four attendants. Her sister, Miss Sandra Jackson, was maid of honour and the bridesmaids were Miss Orion Abernethy of Tottenham and the groom's sister, Miss Joan Cairns. Miss Joyce Cairns was flower girl. Mr. Keith Cairns of Bradford was his brother's groomsman and the ushers were Mr. David Wood of Bradford and Mr. Murray Jackson, brother of the bride, of Lefroy. Mr. and Mrs. Cairns will reside at 272 Conestoga Dr., Richmond Hill.

Graduate Joyce Cairns

" Joyce Cairns, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Stanley Cairns of Bradford, graduated from the legal secretary's course this month at the spring convocation at Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology. She was accepted a position with Blake Cassells and Graydon at Commerce Court in Toronto."

The one-storey, frame house located at 45 John St. West originally had a kitchen and a woodshed at the rear and a veranda at the front. It was the home of Stan Cairns' parents Isaac and Grace (Fisher). The family lived here before and after World War II. (1, 2)
