Father of John Holancin Jr. of McKenzie, Tennessee; Lynne (Mrs. B. MacFarlane), North York; Kathleen (Mrs. D. Nesbit), Burnaby, B.C.; and Christine (Mrs. C. Palmer), Newmarket. Survived by his six sisters, Anne Papousek, Pauline Holancin, Mary Gilbert, Helen Poulis, Joan Maharg, Betty Sue Holancin and three brothers Paul, George, and Jim Holancin. Friend of Jeanette Hudson. Grandfather of Tara, Kristi, Stacey, Erica, Diane, Grant, Graham, and Benjamin. At Mr. Holancin's request, there will be a private cremation at Belleville Crematorium. Graveside interment will take place at Kettleby Cemetery, Kettleby. If desired, memorial donations may be made (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Sister of Daisy of Cobourg and Mary of Lancaster. Predeceased by James, Fred and Clara. A longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a lifelong member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and active with the Cobourg and District General Hospital Auxiliary. Funeral service at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg, followed by cremation. In memoriam donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.
