Description : A resident of the East Tap District, near Elrose, Sask., Edward Blake Madill passed away on Tuesday, March 31, at the age of 69 years.Born in Brougham, Ontario, Mr. Madill went to Western Canada in 1910. In 1916 he was married to Miss Jessie Elizabeth Bell at Regina and they made their home on the farm until last November, when they moved into the town of Elrose. Mr. Madill had been an invalid for some years.He is survived besides his widow, by one son, Ray, of Elrose; a sister (Mary) Mrs. A. Howard, resides at Swansea, Ont.; and five brothers, Henry, Vancouver; George, Rolling Hills, Alta.; Wright, Keggo Harbour; John, Mount Albert, Ont.; and Emerson, Bradford, Ont. A sister, Mrs. Richard Noble (Beatrice), predeceased him in 1940, and a brother, Sylvenus, died in 1951.The funeral service was held on Friday, April 3. Interment was made in the family plot at Elrose.
