Came to Beeton from Wales in 1912. Later worked on farms in the Scotch Settlement. Too old to join the army in World War I, he lied about his age and served with the 76th Battalion. Wounded in action. Worked for the late Mr. R.F. Green and cared for him for several years following Mrs. Green's death. Friend of Mr. G.G. Green, he was cared for by Mrs. Green until he became senile, upon which he moved to a shack near the Marsh. Buried in the Green family plot in a spot reserved for him by Mr. G.G. Green. Funeral grom the T. Kilkenny & Son Funeral Home December 27. Service conducted by Rev. F.G. MacTavish.
