Description : The passing of Mrs. Kezia Jane Morrison, who had made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowles, during the past seventeen years, followed but a few days' illness. Mrs. Morrison suffered a stroke on Friday, June 5, and was moved to Newmarket Hospital where she passed away on Monday, June 8.Natives of Grey County, Mr. and Mrs. Morrison had spent most of their lives at Singhampton where they took an active part in community affairs, Mr. Morrison having served as Warden of Grey County in 1920. Mr. and Mrs. Morrison retired to Owen Sound where they resided until coming to West Gwillimbury, where Mr. Morrison passed away nine years ago.Mrs. Morrison was a member of the United Church.Three daughters are left to mourn the loss of a kindly and good mother, Mrs. Charles Bowles (Stella), Bradford, Mrs. Frank Huddart (Mae) and Mrs. Thomas Strachan (Myrtle) of Mission City, B.C. One brother also survives, Thomas Bowes of Vancouver, B.C., who arrived by plane to attend the funeral.The funeral was held on Thursday from the T. Kilkenny & Son Funeral Home, Bradford. Rev. W. S. Johnson conducted the services and interment was at Singhampton.The pallbearers were Herbert Bowles, Percy Selby and William Nesbitt of Bradford; William Lewis of Queensville; and Thomas and Herbert Sproule of Collingwood.
