Kathleen attended high school in Bradford and after graduating went to Toronto to train for nursing in Toronto General Hospital. She was for some time the organist in the Presbyterian Church in Bradford. A memorial service was held at Bond Head Anglican Church, of which she had been a life-long member, with Rev. C. R. P. Hearn officating.

Description : Passed away at his home in Aurora, in his 74th year. Survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters, Edwin M., Toronto; Donald a missionary in China; Mrs. J. M. Allan, Pembrooke; Mrs. Carl Fraser, Ottawa and two brothers and two sisters, John Faris, Aurora; W. G. Faris, West Gwillimbury; Mrs. John Sinclair, Bradford and Miss Kate Faris, Toronto. A private service was held at his late home, followed by service in the United Church, with Rev. Dr. Thompson, assisted by Rev. Lynd, officating. Interment was made in Aurora Cemetery. Born in Scotch Settlement, attended school at S. S. No. 4 (Scotch Settlement} and Bradford High School. In 1888 married Bessie McKay and farmed until he retired to Aurora in 1918. Death notice Vol. 71 # 29 page 4.
