He is a graduate of Bradford District High School, Queen's University and Queen's Law School at Kingston, and the bar admission course at Osgoode Hall, Toronto. He is now associated with Douglas A. Farr of Walkerton in the practice of law."

"Whipper Billy Watson (standing fifth from the left) attended a meeting of the Bradford Lions Club last week to thank some of the people who helped run the Snowarama which raised about $60,000 for crippled children in February. Five hundred and seventy snowmobiles were involved in the event on Lake Simcoe and 100 people helped organize it. Plaques expressing the gratitude of the Ontario Society For Crippled Children (OSCC) were handed out to representatives of nine clubs. "At the first conference of employees in the Consumer and Commercial Relations Ministry, the Honourable Sidney Handleman presented a survey of consumer attitudes taken in North Bay recently. Aside from revealing that the vast majority of consumer protection law, the most startling revelation concerns the attitude of young people towards the business. That concerns me. It should concern small business people even more. What is even more startling is the result of the question, "How much profit out of each dollar do you think food chains make after taxes"? The answers covered the gambit from nothing to $2. One food chain in its 1976 annual report stated that "earnings per dollar of sales were less that 8-10 of a cent, compared with one cent per dollar in the same period last year..."

An avid harness racer, the Honourable Earl Rowe will be remembered for his racing career as much as for his political one.

"Mr. and Mrs. Daniel wilson, of Bond head, have been notified by Ottawa that their second son, Flt.-Sgt. Harold (Chub) Wilson, is missing after air operations over enemy territory. The entire crew of his craft failed to return and as yet there is no information regarding their fate, although authorities assure the parents that information is being sought through the Red Cross regarding them."

The local Veterans again will make a complete tour of the village, both the business section and the residential section, in an effort to secure every scrap of waste paper in Bradford. The Need for Waste paper is not fiction - it is an absolute necessity.
Tie up all your waste paper and rags tightly so that they may be most easily handled by the collectors. Place them in a spot where they will be in plain view of the collectors from the street, and they will be taken away.
If weather is not favourable, the collection will be made the following Friday - June 23."
