Description : Died at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Allliston, in her 83rd year, after being in failing health for two years. Mrs. Nixon had lived with her son Borden during the past two years on the farm where she came as a bride in 1902, and resided all her married life, except for ten years spent on a farm near Bond Head. Daughter of the late Samuel McMinn and Elizabeth (Ferris) McMinn, born December 13, 1866 on Penville, Ontario. Her husband, Allan R. Nixon, predeceased her in 1911 and she carried on farming alone, in addition to bringing up her three children. Member of St. John's Anglican Church, Cookstown. Mother of Myrtle (Mrs. Frank Brolley), Elbert and Borden Nixon, all of Cookstown. Funeral Service March 12, from the residence in Tecumseh to St. John's Anglican Church, Cookstown. Rev. B. Atkinson, officiating. Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
