Description : Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Mary Jane Breedon of Newton Robinson passed away in Alliston Hospital on September 1.Mrs. Breedon was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, in 1900, the daughter of James and Margaret Hammeil, and came to Beeton with her parents while an infant, living in Beeton until 1919 when she married Gordon Breedon.Mrs. Breedon is survived by her husband and a family of ten sons and daughters, namely Harold of Burlington; Roy of Shakespears; Charles of Bradford; Jim of Peterborough; Velma (Mrs. Mervyn Beneley) of Norval; George of Minesing; Shirley (Mrs. Robert Dermolt) of Cookstown; Bill of Stratford; Betty (Mrs. Keith Dermolt) of Cookstown; and Jack, at home. Surviving also are a brother Edwin and two sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Dave Phillips) and Mrs. Edward Jeffery.The funeral was held on September 3, with services conducted by Rev. H. Dahlin. Interment was in Beeton Union Cemetery.The pallbearers were six of her sons, Roy, Charlie, Jim, George, Bill, Jack. Flower bearers were six of her grandchildren, Warren Breedon, Nancy Breedon, Myrna Bentley, Eric Dermott, Ann Dermott and Danny Breedon.
