Tom Gardner

Tom Gardner was chosen citizen of the year by the Bradford Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Gardner, a popular resident of Bradford, operated a hardware store before his retirement last year. This photo appeared with a group of others entitled "Bradford's year in photos."

Collings Home

Home of Mrs. Ernest Collings built in 1890, by Robert Collings who had 2 sons, Frederick and Ernest. Robert died and the home was left to the two sons. Frederick died in 1982 at the age of 93. The home was then owned by Keith Collings, a grandson of Robert. About 1980 the home was sold to Dr. Larry Barcza for an office. It is at 80 Holland St. E. This photo is from the Bradford Womens' Institute Scrapbooks.

The late Frank Wilcox of Beeton was inducted into the Simcoe County Agricultural Hall of Fame Sunday. Here Norman, Anna (daughter of Mr. Wilcox) and Ruth Ellison accept the tribute.

A highlight of the Beeton Centennial celebrations held last weekend was the mammoth steam and gas engine parade. Area steam engine buffs exhibited their machines in the parade. A float from Beeton senior citizens was also entered despite the inclement weather.

The George Scott family of Barrie held a family reunion at the home of their daughter, Mrs. John Coleman, Innisfil, Sunday Aug. 31. With the exceptions of Mrs. Coleman's daughter, Mrs Parker-Nance (who is now living in England) and Harvey Perrin and Bill Earlem the whole family is shown above.
