The Brass Band

Kenneth Seim of Toronto, a former resident of Bradford, submitted this week's photograph. It shows the 35-piece Canadian Army Service Corps Brass Band performing in Bradford during "Three Gala Days" sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, Sunday July 31, 1932. Mr. Seim thinks the band came from Camp Borden. "This used to be quite an occasion. We all used to look forward to it," says Mr. Seim. This photo appeared in the Bradford Witness as part of the series entitle "Yesterdays."

Description : The 60th wedding anniversary for Roy and Beatrice "Bea" Dixon. There were approximately 300 people there to help celebrate the occasion Saturday. The couple was even awarded a plaque by MPP George McCague on behalf of Premier William Davis.

The Edmanson Hotel

"The Edmanson Hotel" - 1831 The Edmanson Hotel is an important landmark in Bradford. Some of the original features reflect the 1850 period. This building was originally a hotel and has Neoclassical architectural features.
