(From the left) Deputy-reeve Milt Hambly, Councillor Sandy Hudson and Reeve Ken Wood of Bradford were present at the opening of the Professor E.A. Smith Natural Resources Educational Centre last Wednesday. The centre is located on the ninth concession east of Highway 11. The 600-acre conservation area will be used to teach students from separate and public school boards about flora and fauna of the surrounding forest.

MP George Taylor (PC Simcoe Centre) limped into Bradford (literally) Monday to officially open his area campaign headquarters. Signing the cast in place to mend a broken ankle he suffered two days before the election call, are Bradford PC association president Waldie Crossland (left), and past-president Ruth Rowe. Looking on in the background are campaign workers (from left), Mary Harrison, Doris Church, Ella Langford, David Smith (campaign manager), and Robert Evans. Edith Cutting presents Bradford's oldest citizen Walter King with a plaque commemorating his 95th birthday last week. Mrs. Cutting and Mr. King helped found the Gay 60s senior citizens club several years ago. The club was jammed with members last week helping Mr. King celebrate the occasion.
