Mrs. Catherine South, Brampton, the Canadian Dairy Princess, will be guest speaker at the annual banquet of the Aurora Milk Producers Association at Bond Head Community Hall Wednesday, April 3. Mrs. South has travelled across Canada during the past year appearing at many functions connected with agriculture and is an accomplished and interesting speaker.

Home of Mrs. Ernest Collings built in 1890, by Robert Collings who had 2 sons, Frederick and Ernest. Robert died and the home was left to the two sons. Frederick died in 1982 at the age of 93. The home was then owned by Keith Collings, a grandson of Robert. About 1980 the home was sold to Dr. Larry Barcza for an office. It is at 80 Holland St. E. Sarah Richardson (1824-1913), wife of James McGeary of Bond Head who were the parents of Rachel McGeary 1855-1923, wife of William Sutherland Fraser (1850-1925). William Sutherland Fraser was the son of Simon Fraser of Helmsdale Farm. Sarah's parents were John Richardson and Anna Austin. James McGeary's parents were John McGeary and Martha Black from Ireland.

Bradford area residents, Murray and Ruby Faris are justifiably proud of their home and even more so, since it won them a prize at this year's International Plowing Match. The home was judged as best century farmhouse, in the farm homestead improvement competition. Mrs. Faris noted it was interesting that all the winners in the competition were pork producers.
