Dimock's Garage was an important business in Bradford in the early 1930's when this photo was taken. Harold Iceton, who submitted the photo writes: "Mrs. Al Dimock, affectionately known as Minnie to her many friends (gave me this photo). The photo dates back to 1931 when Albert Dimock first started up business in Bradford with his young son Hedley. They were soon joined by his wife Minnie and daughter Eileen. This building has now been demolished and replaced by the Royal Bank Building.
"The Bradford Lions club moved the top prize for their annual September 12 draw along Holland Street early Tuesday morning. The cessna airplane is now on view at the Red and White shopping plaza and tickets can be purchased from any Lions member. The mammoth draw also includes Cadillac and cash prizes."
"With the opening of the Scotiabank building on Holland St. West imminent, members of the new bank's staff are getting ready for the big day. Sheryl Lynn, Ingrid Szyiko, Carol Bell, Ruth Wiltshire and Manager Peter Monkhouse will all be on hand at the bank's grand opening Saturday."
