McDonald, George

This portrait is of George McDonald, a stonemason and contractor of Bradford in the early 1900s. An article with a short biography accompanies this picture. McDonald worked on the A.E. Scanlon's law office and the Presbyterian Church.

Boat Reconstructed by W.E. Simmons

The article accompanying this photograph gives a quick history of W.E. Simmons, boat and launch builder of Bradford. He was a boat builder in Hull, England before landing in Bradford by June, 1905.
The photograph features E.A. Collings' boat prior to its launch.

Greenview Farm

Greenview Farm was the residence of Richard H. Crake, wheat farmer, and covered 212 acres in 1906. It was located on the "Bond Head Rd.", or Highway 88 near Sideroad 10. It was first the Tyrwhitt Farm, owned by Colonel Tyrwhitt of Bond Head, before Crake bought it in 1903. Crake farmed here until 1914, when it was sold to F. Smelser. He was known to the town as Dick Crake.
