Robert Fizzell (September 17, 1858 - August 4, 1933) in his blacksmith shop in Illinois. The son of Tobias and Maria Fizzell, he moved there from West Gwillimbury with his brother James A. Fizzell and stepbrother William Leisster and set up first a blacksmith shop, then a large hardware and appliance store. He married Anna Burdett Miller (died May 11, 1900) and they had six children.

Armstrong House. The Armstrong / Metcalfe home was located on the 6th line. It was reported to be the earliest brick house in West Gwillimbury. The centre gable was a later addition. The features include a basement kitchen, front Venetian windows and a nine-panel front door with original hardware. Because of the inability to access the house and property there is unfortunately no architectural records of this house. Demolished for subdivision

Demolition of the old Bradford Arena located at John St. W. and Moore. The arena was built in 1913 and Harvey Curry's father William Curry was the contractor.
