Mr. and Mrs. Crawford had spent a number of years farming in West Gwillimbury before accepting the position as managers of Britannia Farm.Although a sufferer from a rheumatic condition and having experienced the sorrow of the death of her only son, Jack, in 1939, Mrs. Crawford was one of the happiest and most cheerful ladies, as well as most kindly. The deceased is survived by her husband and three nieces. One of these, Miss Eva Brennan, left motherless as a child, was raised by Mrs. Crawford, and was regarded as a daughter in the home. The funeral was held from her late residence on Wednesday afternoon, with her minister, Mr. McLarnon, of the Presbyterian churches, conducting the services. Interment was in St. John's Presbyterian Cemetery. The pallbearers were former neighbours, namely, Morris Moriarty, Wesley Simmons, Jack Prosser, Geo. McDonnell, Fred Hambly and Alex Riley.
