Description : After several months illness, Mrs. Wesley Cross passed away at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Oakville, on Saturday evening, June 13.Mrs. Cross was the former Mary (Mamie) Josephine Wilson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson of Tottenham. Her birthplace was at Dunkerron. She was in her 88th year.In 1904, she married Wesley George Cross, who predeceased her in November, 1959.Their home during their fifty-five years of marriage was on the 8th Line of Tecumseth, forty-one years of which was spent on the Cross homestead, recently purchased from Harry Cross by Mr. T. Somers of Toronto.Mrs. Cross is survived by two daughters, Helen (Mrs. G. M. Williamson) of Oakville; Weslene (Mrs. C. I. James) of Toronto and one son, Harry, of Tecumseth Township, also three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.The service was conducted on Tuesday, June 16, at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tottenham, by the Rev. D. E. Willis. Interment was at Trinity United Cemetery, Beeton.The pallbearers were Messrs. Truman Bell, Frank List, Erwin Letts, Lorne Williams, Gordon Bray and Dr. S. R. McKelvey.Beeton World.
