Scott Family Reunion in Innisfil

The George Scott family of Barrie held a family reunion at the home of their daughter, Mrs. John Coleman, Innisfil, Sunday Aug. 31. With the exceptions of Mrs. Coleman's daughter, Mrs Parker-Nance (who is now living in England) and Harvey Perrin and Bill Earlem the whole family is shown above. Stewart and Grace Donnelly of Lefroy were guests of honor at a farewell party and presentation on Saturday night at the South Innisfil Community Centre. Master of ceremonies Don McNabb, in a jovial manner, recalled events in the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Donnelly including their community involvement. A presentation of a pair of matching chairs was made on behalf of the large crowd of friends and relatives attending. Sinclair Stevens (MP York-Simcoe) also took the opportunity to recognize the couple's work for the party. The recipients are seen here with Mr. Stevens and Don McNabb(right). The Donnellys will be moving soon to Sundridge.

Soap-box Winner

Daring Kathleen Westlake negotiated the soap-box course twice without mishap to take first place in the seven to ten year class. Her car, "Little Lulu", also took top honors for the best looking entry.

The May Tea

The May Tea and Bake Sale was the last social event to be held in the Loyal True Blue Hall by Senior Citizens of the Friendship Club. Club meetings and events have been held at the hall for 24 years. In the future events will be held at the new Senior Citizens' Centre on Blake Street. Above from left are: Miss Laura Baynes, David McClymont, who officially opened the afternoon event; Mrs. Allan Couchman, president and convener of the tea, and Miss S. C. Robertson who performs the tea honors.
