Sister of Ruth Fowler of Aurora, and predeceased by Marion Brethet and Charlie Cerswell of Bond Head. Aunt of Bill Brethet and his wife Margaret of R.R. 3 Tottenham, Don Brethet and his wife Susan of Milton, Joan Cerswell of Bond Head, Ann and her husband William White of Scarborough, Lynda and her husband Gary Renegar of North Carolina, James Cerswell and his wife Kelly of Bond Head, and John Fowler of Aurora. Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Visitation and service at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford. Interment in Bond Head Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Dear grandfather of Adison and Alisha. Predeceased by his father Jacob and survived by mother Karen, seven brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St. Bradford. Funeral service was held at Victory Baptist Church, Newmarket on Wednesday, Novembe 2, 1994 at 2 p.m. Interment at Bond Head Cemetery. Donations to the York County Hospital Foundation, Newmarket would be appreciated.

Residents oppose street name changes

"It seemed like a reasonable idea, a good idea: in this, the 50th anniversary of D-Day, to recognize some of the municipality's most highly decorated veterans, by renaming duplicate street names in their honour.
The list of names, compiled by the Royal Canadian Legion with the assistance of Bradford West Gwillimbury Police Service researchers, included Gunner JohN Douglas Breeze, recipient of the Military Medal for bravery, and Squadron Commander Brad walker, recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross.
The idea was to honor the war veterans, while they were still alive; to eliminate the risk of confusion of street names in an emergency, by changing similar names; and perhaps, to untie the Municipality in a gesture towards its veterans.
Instead, it re-opened old wounds, and contributed towards new grievances. ..."
