Beloved husband of Ruth Thompson, dear father of Bonnie (Mrs. Joe Haas) of Bradford, Carol (Mrs. Greg Parker) of Georgetown and Debbie (Mrs. Chris Bergin) of Bond Head. Dear son of William and Gertie Melbourne. Dear brother of Anne (Mrs. Harry Sparling) of London, Ontario, Joan(Mrs. Vincent Lackimia) of Sepulveda, California and the late Ross Melbourne and his wife Hilda. Dear grandfather of Jessica Parker, Allison, David and Anne Bergin. The funeral service was held at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford on Tuesday, September 15, 1987 at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment at Bond Head Cemetery. Loving grandparents Bill & Glenn Rooth of Prince Edward Island and Gord & Sarah Riley of Bradford. Great nanna Gladys Rooth of Pickering and great grandmother Fern Riley of Bradford. Woman killed in accident on Highway 11. One woman is dead and three others are in hospital after a Saturday morning accident at Highway 11 and Highway 88. Nancy Theodoru of Toronto was a passenger in the car driven by her husband George. She was killed when the car collided with a pick up truck, Bradford OPP report. The truck was driven by Frank Anzil, of Klienburg [sic]. His wife Tina was a passenger. The three people are in serious condition in hospital. Bradford Fire department responded to the emergency call and used the "jaws of life" to release Mr. Theodoru from behind the steering wheel. It was the first time the equipment has been used, other than in practises [sic], since the money to purchase it was donated by the Lions and the Rotary Clubs about a year ago. Mr. Anzil used to own what was known as the Anzil plaza in Bradford, on the north side of Holland Street West. Charges are pending in the incident.
