The first prize float of the Centennial Parade was the Bradford Lions' Club marching section.

"The tenth running of the Canadian Open Sheep Dog trails, held in Bond Head last weekend, drew contestants right from Oregon through to Nova Scotia. In spite of inconsistent weather, Dog trail organizer Bill McMichael says, "the spectator attendance was about the same as last year, standing at about 1,000 over the two days." He also said, 'The interest in sheep dog running is very strong in the U.S. However, there the interest is more in running the dogs than in the spectator sport.'"

"Bradford will be on the air on Monday, December 6 as the result of a recording made by Don Sims of CBC at a complimentary dinner given by Mr. A.H. Wilford, publisher of "Transport News" and sponsor of "Bradford's Story." ....

"Churchgoers at Bradford United Church were treated last Sunday to the "gospel folk" music and words of inspirations from the group Tushisah. The group is comprised of local students who play area churches and convey religion through their music. Tushisah was conceived five years ago from the Inter-school Fellowship Club at Bradford District High School. The group consists of (left to right) Rick Swagerman, Doug Gray, Marilyn Kell, Bonny Vaughn, Patty Flack, Jean Faris, Gary Swagerman, Al Faris, and John Bassie on drums. "Public Utilities man Roy Storey links the Campbell house up allowing the wonderful world of electric refrigerators and ranges. The last old house in Bradford without them has fallen to the soft life of 1970. Nevertheless, Campbell vows that the modernization of his home will not include a telephone."
