"The Tee-We-Gwill chapter of the Women's Institute held their first meeting with this year's officers last Monday night at the home of Mrs. Barbara Wilcox on Beeton Road. The Women's Institute was originally founded in Ontario to educate women in rural areas in the homemaking field. Since then it has become a world-wide community services oriented organization. The Tec-We-Gwill chapter sponsors a Can-Save Child in Austria, as well as sponsoring the Tec-Gwill 4-H Club for young women."

"More than 100 relatives gathered at the farm of D. Arthur Evans last weekend for a family reunion. "Last week there were two incidents of cars hitting deers on Highway 400. Neither drivers was seriously injured. On Sunday, November 9, Gordon Walker of Newmarket was southbound on Highway 400 south of Innisfil Beach Road when he struck a deer in the centre lane. On Thursday, November 13, Laurence Blake of RR 2, Bradford, was northbound on Highway 400 south of Highway 88 when he struck a deer in the driving lane."
"Last Wednesday the students and staff at Innisfil Central School honoured two long time bus drivers who retired this year. The two men were given plaques in appreciation for their years of service. "Last week, Ontario Premier William Davis appointed Simcoe Centre MPP Art Evans, parliamentary assistant to the minister of transportation and communications, Jim Snow. Mr. Evans said Friday that he was pleased with the appointment and was looking forward to his new duties. In the past Evans has been involved in the energy field and was on the Board of Directors of Ontario Hydro for a number of years."
"Debra Ann Shipley, daughter of Corporal and Mrs. Bruce Shipley of Grand Bend, Ontario and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Campbell of Bradford, recently graduated from Sheridan College School of Nursing in Mississauga. She has accepted a position at Toronto General Hospital."
