Description : A life long resident of Belle Ewart, where he was born in 1895, John Wilbert Ferrier died on Saturday, January 12, 1957, in the adjoining village of Lefroy, as the result of a heart attack.For 16 years he had been on the rural mail route and was caretaker of the Wisker estate in that vicinity on Lake Simcoe.The funeral was held in Lefroy United Church with service conducted by Rev. Gordon Wanless. Interment was in the Sixth Line Cemetery, Innisfil.He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Ada Prebble; two daughters, Mrs. Mel Browning (Elsie) of Churchill, Mrs. Frank Little (Joyce), whose home is in Winnipeg, one son, Garnet of Lefroy, and four grandchildren. There are also two brothers: Frederick of Orillia and Donald in Lefroy.
