Description : A native of Bond Head, and a lady who throughout a long period of residence in western Canada maintained her interests and friendships in the district of her birth, Mrs. Laura Doyle passed away at the home of her son in Calgary on January 28.Laura Phillips was born in Bond Head in 1871 and spent her younger days there. Her married life was spent largely in Saskatoon, but she and her husband, the late Will Doyle, made annual visits to Ontario to visit relatives over a long period of years. Many Bradford residents knew Mr. and Mrs. Doyle during their visits at the home of their brother-in-law and sister, the late Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Lee, and at Newton Robinson at the home of Mrs. Doyle's sister, Mrs. Robt. Leeson and her late husband.Mrs. Doyle had continued to reside in her home in Saskatoon until last fall when she went to the home of her son, Arthur, in Calgary.Mrs. Doyle is survived by her son, Arthur, and two grandchildren, Katherine and John; her sister, Mrs. Leeson (Ida), of Newton Robinson; and one brother, Dr. Arthur Phillips of Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. S. R. Lee (Edith), and Evelyn who died many years ago; and three brothers, George, Percy and Frank.The funeral was held in Saskatoon from Grace Church on February 1.
