Description : Death came with startling suddenness, when early Tuesday morning, March 6, Mrs. Charles Johnson passed away at the home of her son, Cecil, near Newton Robinson in Tecumseth Township. Mrs. Johnson had been about as usual to the last and was only ill a few minutes, suffering from a heart seizure.Mrs. Johnson was born in Tecumseth Township, her maiden name being Lillian Cave. About forty years ago she married Charles Johnson at Bond Head, and after a long illness he predeceased her about a year ago. About two weeks before her death her brother Norval Cave, passed away at Alliston. She is survived by her son, Cecil and her daughter, Hazel, (Mrs. Ross Bigwell) of Barrie; two grandchildren and three brothers, Edward Cave of Bradford, and Elwood and Lyman Cave of Alliston.Mrs. Johnson was a member of Newton Robinson United Church and of the Ladies' Orange of that village.The funeral was held on Thursady afternoon from the Hughes' Funeral Home, Cookstown with interment in Alliston Union Cemetery. The services were in charge of her minister, Rev. Love, and of the lLadies' Orange Order.The pallbearers were neighbours and long time friends of the family, namely, Dan Bell, Lawrence Copeland, Ernie Matthews, John Robinson, John Ramsay and Frank Houghton.
