Description : Mrs. Arthur Ford, who formerly lived in the Scotch Settlement, passed away at her home in Schomberg on August 21, 1963, after about a week's illness following a stroke.Born at Allandale in 1879, Mrs. Ford was first married to George A. Hudson, who died in 1928, shortly after the family moved from Tecumseth to the 5th Line of West Gwillimbury, where they continued to reside for a number of years. In 1946 Mrs. Hudson married Arthur Ford and he sold his farm and they moved to Schomberg where they have since been living retired.As well as her husband, Mrs. Ford is survived by two daughters and three sons, namely, Mrs. Marguerite Hudson Brooks of Toronto, Mrs. Fred Wray (Gertie) of Schomberg, Jack Hudson of Newmarket and Norman and Grenville Hudson of Bradford. She was predeceased by a son, Bert, in 1928, a daughter, Treva, in 1939, and another daughter, Hazel, in 1948.The funeral was held from the funeral chapel in Tottenham, with Rev. Elliott of Schomberg United Church conducting the services, and interment was in Bond Head Cemetery.The pallbearers were Messrs. Alex McKeen, Ed. Woods, Sinclair MacDonald, and three grandsons, Cliff. Brooks, Lorne Wray and Ted Elmer.
