The basket of gorgeous red roses provided by Mr. Yu-Chui Park, Ph.D., The Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to be placed at the grave of "Lieutenant M.C. Vipond," at The UN Memorial Cemetery in Busan, Korea. The beautiful arm spray or roses, mums etc. all done in yellow tones was from David, Lorraine and Sarah Mantle.
To the leader of these men of vision, Professor W.H. Day, this memorial has been erected, with the Tourist and Industrial Committee of Simcoe County Council presenting the plaque and municipalities represented on the marsh area contributing the cairn, and today, May 27, 1956, is being unveiled.
Grave reads: "In Memory of Tobias Fizzell, who died September 25th, 1883; Aged 85 Years. Native of Ireland He's gone! the loved and cherished one, Like some bright star he passed away, Death claimed his victim and he sank, Calm as the sun's aspiring ray."
