Description : Mrs. Herbert Nichol, of R.R. 4, Barrie, suffered a coronary thrombosis shortly after the death of her husband during November of last year and failed to regain her health. She passed away on April 12, 1962.Born Margaret Berry, in Toronto, the late Mrs. Nichol was married in that city in 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Nichol farmed first in Beeton and later at Gilford, before retiring to R.R. 4, Barrie.Mrs. Nichol was devoted to her family, by whom she will be sadly missed, as well as by a large number of friends.The deceased is survived by three sons and four daughters, namely Norman of Barrie; Irene (Mrs. Fred Hambly) of Gilford; Rilla (Mrs. Ken Davis) of Rexdale; Ruth (Mrs. Ernest Cook) of Weston; Ross of Rexdale; Harold of Toronto and Irma (Mrs. Bordon Andrews) of Bradford. She was predeceased by one son, Roy. Surviving also are two brothers and one sister, Ralph Berry of Orillia, Mrs. A. H. Waites of Mimico and Fred Berry of Port Rowan.The funeral was held from the Lathangue-Kilkenny Funeral Home on the afternoon of April 15, with Rev. F. G. MacTavish of Bradford United Church conducting the services. Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery.The pallbearers were six grandsons, namely Kenneth Hambly, Gordon Hambly, Donald Cook, Gary Andrews and Lorne Andrews.Flower bearers were three grandsons, Lewis Davis, Gerald and Dennis Nichol and two nephews, Alan Waites and Bill Berry.
