Description : Gordon J. Seim died in Toronto on Tuesday, June 9, as the result of a heart attack. He had not been feeling well for a few days but death was sudden and unexpected.Born at Hepworth, Ontario, 54 years ago, he came with his parents to Bradford at an early age where he attended Bradford schools before joining the staff of the Canadian Bank of Commerce here.His father, the late Mr. O. M. Seim, owned this newspaper for a number of years, selling to the present owners and publishers in 1931. After Mr. Seim's death, which occurred here in 1940, the family, including Gordon Seim, moved to Toronto, and have since been resident there.The deceased is survived by his wife and three children, Patricia, Douglas and Susan, all of Toronto; his mother, Mrs. O. M. Seim of Leaside; two brothers, Kenneth of Toronto and Maurice of Markham; and three sisters, Marjorie (Mrs. George Hardy) and Dorothy of Toronto and Betty (Mrs. F. O. Schofield) of Dunnville.The funeral was held in Leaside on Friday, June 12 and interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.

Description : Mr. Arthur Ford passed away at the Bond Haven Nursing Home on Friday, June 19, 1964. Mr. Ford had been in poor health since his wife died on August 31, 1963.He was born in England on August 25, 1884, the son of Thomas and Emily Ford. He and his brother, Albert, came to Canada in 1904, where they worked for farmers and later on bought a farm on the 4th
Concession of West Gwillimbury. He returned twice to his homeland, once in 1913, to marry Bertha Mercer, and later he and his wife returned for a vacation.His wife Bertha died in 1945 and the next year Mr. Ford married Mrs. Hudson and sold his farm and moved to Schomberg, where he lived until he became ill.Mr. Ford is survived by one brother and four sisters in England and five step-children in Canada.The funeral was held on June 22 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tottenham, and the services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Elliott of the United Church in Schomberg. The interment was in the Bond Head Cemetery.The pallbearers were Alex McKeen, Ed. Wood, Sinclair MacDonald, Russel Grant, Bill Baynes and John Grimsby.
