Watson Factory Correspondence

Correspondence between Bradford (representatives, clerk) and interested parties in an old no longer running factory, dated 1918. Correspondence relates to insurance, sale and use. Building belonged to Watson Specialties Limited (company owned by William Stoddart) and was seized by the Village of Bradford for non-payment of taxes. One of the interested parties was W. H. Thornton.

Home of Mrs. Harold Watson 1978 built on the former grounds of Presbyterian Church horse sheds dating back to 1890's. In 1951 two lots were purchased for $350.00, one lot 164' x 49', the other one 40' x 265' on which was built a house 24' x 36'. in 1962 it was purchased and completed inside and out. This photo is from the Bradford Womens Institute Scrapbooks.

This portrait is of Herbert E. Watson, a dentist of Bradford. An article with a short biography accompanies this picture. It notes his dentist office was on the upstairs of the Kilkenny block of Holland Street, meaning his office was beside the Kilkenny Furniture store.
