Myra Wood's Victory Medal

One of Myra Wood's military medals for her service in World War I as a nursing sister, serving in Greece, England and Malta. This is the Victory Medal, for all who served in the First World War or in Russia from 1919-1920.

Newspaper clipping cut out from the January 28, 1987 issue of The Bradford Weekly. The clipping contains two photographs of the 25th anniversary celebration of the United Church Women (UCW) group, with caption included. Joseph Martin Farmhouse - Side View

Photograph of what was the farmhouse of Joseph Martin (1873-1946) and Elizabeth Martin (nee Spiers) (abt. 1883-unknown).

Joseph was the son of Thomas Martin (1840-1919) and Elizabeth Martin (nee Lee) (1850-1936). Elizabeth Lee was the daughter of Thomas Lee (1794-1868) and Ann Lee (nee Graham) (abt. 1825-1903).

Drug Store

"This week's historical photo was submitted by Lew Campbell of RR 2, Bradford, whose father, W.L. Campbell (behind the counter) operated the drug store on Holland Street now occupied Ritchie's Variety Store. Fred C. Cook, standing in front of the counter, worked for Mr. Campbell for several years, intending to become a druggist. But he went into the insurance business instead. Mr. Campbell owned the drug store in Bradford for 57 years. He graduated from the Ontario College of Pharmacy in 1891, a silver medalist in his class."
