"Bradford Flour Mill Samuel Lukes" is painted on the side of this building which was situated on Holland St. East at Morris Rd. This mill was built in 1904, and could mill 300 barrels a day at maximum capacity.

"This is the location of the new Bank of Commerce the way it looked in 1915. At this time the bank was named Standard Bank and was located a bit further west. Around 1920, the bank branch moved to the corner of Barrie and Holland Streets. The buildings in the picture are a laundry and the post office."

The job of lifting the blades up to the steel stand took only minutes after workmen finished putting the finishing touches on them. The blades and shaft alone weigh two tons and will turn at one and a half revolutions per minute when the drive motor is installed."
