USHER, James F (Jim) at York County Hospital, Newmarket on Sunday, Febrary [sic] 25, 1990. Jim Usher of Bond Head in his 67th year.
Beloved husband of the late Lorna Dixon, dear brother of Doreen (Mrs. Wilmot Markson) of Schomberg and William of Bradford. Dear friend of Ella Langford of Bradford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Street, Bradford. Service was held in chapel on Tuesday, February 27, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Bond Head Cemetery.
Donations to York County Hospital Foundation, Newmarket, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Sister of Ruth Fowler of Aurora, and predeceased by Marion Brethet and Charlie Cerswell of Bond Head. Aunt of Bill Brethet and his wife Margaret of R.R. 3 Tottenham, Don Brethet and his wife Susan of Milton, Joan Cerswell of Bond Head, Ann and her husband William White of Scarborough, Lynda and her husband Gary Renegar of North Carolina, James Cerswell and his wife Kelly of Bond Head, and John Fowler of Aurora. Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Visitation and service at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford. Interment in Bond Head Cemetery. AUSTIN, George Robert suddenly at York County Hospital, Newmarket on Wednesday April 1, 1992. George Austin of Bond Head in his 42nd year. Beloved husband of Penny. Loving father of Ruth, Robert, Roy and Lee. Beloved son of Frances and the late Joseph Austin. Fondly remembered by his six grandchildren. Rested at the Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services was [sic] held in the chapel on Saturday 11 a.m. followed by interment at Bond Head Cemetery.

Description : Age: 74 years, 5 months.Born in Mohill, County Letrim, Ireland, and came with his parents to Canada when he was seven.They first settled in Lloydtown, and then Bond Head, where the deceased spend twenty years of his life, first in the hotel business, and then as a merchant.He then settled in Bradford in 1864, and farmed and ran a shop, which his sons now do.Had nine children: six sons - William and John predeceased him, James, Elder, Walter and Briton; and three daughters - Mrs. Rev. Wass, of Brantford, Mrs. J. McL. Stevenson, Esq., of Barrie, and another.Interred at Mount Pleasant.

He died in his Bradford home in his 74th year and will be interred at Bond Head Cemetery.

Description : The death occured at York County Hospital, Newmarket, on Sunday, January 30, of Miss Alice Victoria Smith of Bond Head. Miss Smith suffered a broken leg and shock when struck by a car as she was returning from church on Sunday January, 9, three weeks before her death. Born at Queensville over 81 years ago, Miss Smith lived in Innisfil Township as a child and attended school there. Later she was a seamstress with a Toronto firm. In recent years she spent some time with Mrs. R. W. Glass, Cookstown, and with her sister and brother in Bond Head. She was a member of the United Church. Miss Smith is survived by a sister and two brothers, Miss Ida Smith, Bond Head; Mr. James Smith, Bond Head; and Mr. Lessley Smith of Victoria, B.C.The funeral was held on Tuesday, February 1, from the Hughes' Funeral Home, Cookstown. The services were taken by the ministers of Bond Head and Cookstown churches, Rev, F. W. Newell and Rev. J. C. Kellog. Interment was in Thornton Cemetery.The pallbears were Cookstown and Bond Head family friends, namely Robt. Eldridge, Arthur Glass and Arthur Cooper of Cookstown, and Wm. Watt, Cyril Drury and Harry Wilcox of Bond Head.
