Visitation at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford. Service at the Holland Marsh Christian Reformed Church. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. Description : Passed away peacefully at home in Dunchurch in his 69th year. Husband of the late Mary (Wren) van Ry. Son of the late Jacob and Tina van Ry and son-in-law of Ena Wren of Dunchurch and the late Christopher. Father of James and Donna, both of Bradford; Jana and her husband Paul Thompson of Lakefield; Judy and her husband Peter Harway of Dunchurch; Marianne Smith of Tottenham; and Mark of Toronto. Grandfather of Joshua, Amanda, Jacob and Caleb van Ry; Vaughan, Jamie and Christopher Thompson; Meaghan McClymont, Zachary and Hilary Jane Harway; and Scott Smith. Brother of Enny DeBest of Bradford and the late Casey and Gary. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Rested in the Logan Funeral Home, Parry Sound. Interment in Hillcrest Mausoleum and Fairholme Cemetery, Dunchurch in the spring. Description : Stephen J. Varga of Bradford has been bereaved by the death of his father, Stephen Varga, 73, Kitchener, who passed away suddenly at his home in that city on July 14.Mr. Varga was a native of Hungary and had resided in Kitchener for 31 years where he was a member of St. Matthews's Lutheran Church.He was married in Hungary in 1915 to the former Mary Schron, who survives him, with a family of two sons, Stephen J. Varga of Bradford and John G. Varga of Waterloo, and six grandchildren. Two brothers, Paul of Norwalk, Conn., and John of Hungary also survive.The funeral was held on Monday in Kitchener, with services being conducted by Rev. John Schmeider of St. Matthews's Lutheran Church. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
